PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of the difficulty for manufacturing a passage- forming structure, in which high-temperature fluid passages and low-temperature fluid passages are alternately formed, and even if many metallic separators are laminated and brazed, imperfect brazing, unsatisfactory assembly performance or a step on a sealing surface and similar nonconformities are generated. SOLUTION: The passage-forming structure 3 is formed by using a plurality of metallic separators 4 each having a substantially U-shaped section, having outward brazing margins at both ends and brazing each brazing margin 4a to the brazing margin 4a of the adjacent metallic separator 4. The brazing margins 4a are arranged in the lower parts upon brazing. Thus, a brazing material flows downward, so that the brazing material will not become insufficient in the brazing margins 4a. The vertical length of an opposed surface of each metallic separator 4 is made different by the thickness of the brazing margin 4a from the other surface. Therefore, the sealing surfaces 5 on the upper surfaces of the respective metallic separators 4 are flush with one another, so that the spaces are not formed relative to other parts with superior sealing characteristics. Furthermore, each separator 4 has a proper stability to achieve superior assembling characteristics.
