GAS GENERATOR COMPOSITION

A gas generating composition for an air bag having a low toxicity, a high burning rate and a low combustion temperature is provided. A gas generating composition comprising (a) a bitetrazole compound as a fuel, (b) a basic metal nitrate as an oxidizing agent, (c) a binder and/or a slag-forming agent and (d) a combustion controlling agent made of a metal oxide.
