PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric and pyroelectric substance applicable to various uses and capable of forming fine patterns, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric and pyroelectric substance and its manufacturing method are characterized by irradiating an organic material impregnated with a cation scavenger and an anion scavenger with an ionizing radiation under an electric field.
