PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaner of a gate roller for a passenger conveyer which can efficiently clean in a support frame and an external peripheral surface of the gate roller, by removing abrasive powder of a moving handrail deposited in the support frame. SOLUTION: This cleaner comprises a vacuum cleaner 6 having a suction hose 6A, a suction port 7 mounted in a tip end of the suction hose 6A, and a cover unit 8 protruded from an end part of this suction port 7 to cover the periphery of three gate rollers 4. In this way, a moving handrail is removed from a parapet 2, the gate roller 4 is exposed, the periphery of the three gate rollers 4 is covered with the suction port 7 and the cover unit 8, an almost closed space is formed, abrasive powder 5 is collected by the vacuum cleaner 6 by suction of air in the cover unit 8 through the suction port 7.
