PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device permitting to uniformalize the deterioration of a light emitting surface of a display panel as much as possible. SOLUTION: This plasma display device comprises a means for measuring the duration when an input video is a still picture, a means for storing the video signal of the still picture in memory when the duration of the still picture becomes longer than a prescribed reference time for the first time after the power source is turned off, a means for storing a video signal of a still picture of the longest duration in the memory by storing a video signal of another still picture, in the state in which the duration of the preceding still picture is stored in the memory, every time the duration of another still picture exceeds the duration of the still pictures stored in the memory, and a means for turning off the power source after having displayed the reversed picture of the still picture stored in the memory for a prescribed time when an instruction is inputted to turn off the power source. |
