<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for machining a shoe pocket to lay, on the contact face of the piston of a swash plate type compressor and the swash plate, a shoe for reducing a friction force between the above respective contact faces and also receiving the tilt angle displacement of the swash plate surface with the piston. SOLUTION: This method comprises transferring, into a space receiving the swash plate in the piston, a cutter which has an arc-shaped cutting blade having the same curvature as a virtual sphere formed by the shoe and rotates around the axis in a width direction of the piston as a rotating axis, and then rotating the cutter and revolving the rotating axis of the cutter along the round orbit in the swash plate-receiving space to perform the cutting for making the shoe pocket on both side inner walls of the swash plate-receiving space.</p> |
