摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably provide homogeneous combustion and stratified combustion in an intake port fuel injection engine. SOLUTION: In the homogenous combustion, fuel pressure to be fed to a fuel injection valve is changed over to high pressure for reducing the fuel injection particle size (S5), and the fuel is injected when opening the intake valve (S6). In the stratified combustion, the fuel pressure to be fed to the fuel injection valve is changed over to a low pressure for enlarging the fuel injection particle size (S3), and the fuel is injected when closing the intake valve (S4). An ultrasonic vibrator for fuel injection atomization is provided for the fuel injection valve in place of a fuel pressure changeover means as a variable means for the fuel injection particle size and the ultrasonic vibrator may be operated only in the homogenous combustion.
