PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic development processing apparatus which dispenses with a smaller amount of liquids, such as developers and bleach-fix baths and will not give rise to development unevenness, even with silver halide photosensitive materials of large sizes. SOLUTION: This automatic development processing device has a transport means which has >=1 photosensitive material holding projecting parts for holding the silver halide photosensitive material and projecting to the transporting surface side, in such a manner that the photosensitive surfaces face downward and which transports the silver halide photosensitive material in a specified direction, while holding the silver halide photosensitive material in the photosensitive material holding projecting parts and a processing liquid coating application section, which is disposed below the transport means and applies the processing liquid to the photosensitive surface of the silver halide photosensitive materials transported by the transport means described above.
