PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for filling liquid crystal to a liquid crystal cell in which a cell gap can be easily confirmed even in the middle of liquid crystal filling to the liquid crystal cell as well as in the middle of press sealing. SOLUTION: With respect to the method by which liquid crystal is filled into a liquid crystal cell 1 consisting of an upper glass plate substrate 6 and a lower glass plate substrate 7 through a filling port while sucking and discharging air through an exhaust port 9, the liquid crystal is filled by pressure, and thereafter, the upper glass plate substrate 6 and the lower glass plate substrate 7 are pressed to make the cell gap uniform while confirming the cell gap, and then the exhaust port 9 and the filling port are sealed.
