PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the contact area of a torque adjusting member with a fixed cylinder or a zoom ring so as to adjust the rotational torque of the zoom ring and to improve a feeling of operation of the zoom ring by inserting and engaging the torque adjusting member into/with a gap between the fixed cylinder and the zoom ring and sliding the torque adjusting member. SOLUTION: A torque adjusting ring 52 constituting a torque adjusting device of an ENG lens device 10 is inserted and engaged into/with the gap 54 between the recessed groove 17 of the zoom ring 16 and the fixed cylinder 12. A run off part 56 for running off the ring 52 is formed on the right side of the gap 54. When the ring 52 is slid from a position indicated by a solid line in the Fig. 2 in the right direction and a part of the ring 52 is positioned on the run off part 56, the contact area between both the rings 52, 16 is reduced and the rotational torque of the ring 16 is reduced.
