PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical roller bearing for a continuous casting machine roll, enabling the load range of an outer ring to be automatically renewed at random. SOLUTION: In the cylindrical roller bearing for the continuous casting machine roll, cylindrical rollers 1 are disposed in two lines, between which there is provided a one way clutch 5 allowing the outer ring 3 to be driven by an inner ring 2 during counter rotation. The load range is automatically renewed so as to be equalized throughout the perimeter of the outer ring 3 because the clutch 5 is turned to the ON position in order to allow the outer ring 3 to be driven for rotation by the inner ring 2 when the roll is counter- rotated at random.
