PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high reliable thin floppy disc device by realizing a spindle motor by which the deterioration of grease for a bearing can be prevented. SOLUTION: In the spindle motor using the floppy disc device, this device is used to support a thrust load by a thrust ball bearing disposed on the outside of a radial bearing 28, having the radial bearing 28 supporting a spindle shaft 2 in the radial direction, and also the high reliable thin floppy disc device is realized using the spindle motor and this device made to increase reliability by filling an adhesive material instead of a ball into a part of the ball 26 retaining pocket provided in the retainer 27 of the thrust ball bearing and by making the prolongation of the grease life by adhering dust making the grease deterioration to this adhesive material.
