JOINT PIPE CUTOFF STRUCTURE AND CLEANING METHOD OF JOINT PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely cutoff a joint pipe part and retain the joint function when steel pipe piles are connected together through a joint pipe. SOLUTION: A pair of joint pipes 2 formed of circular steel pipes of which the slit 2a is formed along the axial direction of the steel pipe pile 1 are provided in the opposite side of the external side face of the steel pipe pile 1. When a part of the joint pipe 2 are fitted to each other through the slit 2a to connect mutual steel pipe piles 1 together, a cutoff structure 10 having a cutoff plate 11 closing a gap brought along the slit 2a is formed along the slit end.
