PURPOSE: A disc cartridge adaptor is provided to easily insert small-sized cartridges in different sizes into a cartridge adaptor and separate the cartridges from the cartridge adaptor. CONSTITUTION: A disc cartridge adaptor is used for cartridge cases having different sizes to be used for the same recording/reproducing system. The disc cartridge adaptor includes a pair of adaptor cases(210). The space of the adaptor case into which the cartridge case is inserted and the length of the adaptor case are varied according as the cartridge case is inserted into the adaptor case or not. The adaptor case includes left and right adaptor cases(212,212') and a supporting member(220) for connecting the left and right adaptor cases with each other and supporting both cases. The vertical length of the adaptor cases is shorter than their horizontal length when the cartridge case is not inserted into the adaptor case.
