PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch capable of reducing the reflection loss of a block for supporting optical fibers. SOLUTION: The optical switch having a switching means for changing an optical path by moving at least one movable optical fiber against plural fixed optical fibers has blocks for respectively supporting the fixed optical fibers and the movable optical fiber and the block of the light receiving side has a slant face, which is inclined at an angleθfrom a face perpendicular to the length direction of the optical fiber. The core diameter of the fiber is d and a distance L between the end face of the light outgoing side optical fiber and the light receiving side block has the relation of tan(2θ)>d/L.
