PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core metal for an elastic crawler plate capable of achieving light weight by thinning an over-strength part of the core metal, preventing distortion deformation of an elastic body by forming a smooth rib reinforcement part in which an edge part of the core metal does not protrude from a core metal surface, assuring strength even when a hole is bored in the core metal, and preventing breakage of the elastic body. SOLUTION: This core metal for an elastic crawler plate to be embedded in an elastic body of rubber or the like in the elastic crawler plate to be tightened by bolts for each pair of joint links of a crawler has roughly flat surfaces both on the surface side and the back side. Recessed parts 1a and 1b of a roughly reverse trapezoidal form are formed on the non-grounding surface side of a right and a left wing parts in the crawler width direction.
