PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing cold worked high-speed steel powder and also a method for manufacturing a high-speed steel member by which the average particle size of the high-speed steel powder can be fined and also the average grain size of the high-speed steel member after sintering can be fined. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the cold worked high-speed steel powder, mechanical alloying is applied to raw-material powder of high- speed steel at ordinary temperature to regulate the average particle size of the powder to about <=30μm. It is preferable to regulate the average grain size of the above cold worked high-speed steel powder to <=20 nm. Further, a desired high-speed steel member can be manufactured by sintering the above cold worked high-speed steel powder.
