PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent hot spots and cold spots from being formed in a combustion chamber (32) of a gas turbine engine. SOLUTION: In a mixer (50) used in the combustion chamber (32) of the gas turbine engine, an annular housing (52) is included. The housing has an upstream end (54), a downstream end (56), a mount (58) for attaching the housing to the upstream end (54) of the combustion chamber and an inner surface (90) for defining a hollow interior. A plurality of vanes (62) of a first swirler (60) extend inward from the housing to swirl air traveling through the housing. An annular fuel injector (66) of the mixer has a plurality of fuel injection ports (68) arranged in a substantially circular pattern and mounted inside the first swirler for releasing droplets of fuel into swirling air downstream the injector. A second swirler includes a plurality of vanes (82) extending inward from the injector for swirling air traveling through the housing downstream the injector.
