PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact type tonometer capable of obtaining a stable measuring result high in reliability in consideration of the effect of a pulsation change. SOLUTION: The non-contact type tonometer for measuring intraocular pressure of an eye to be examined is equipped with a fluid jet means for ejecting a fluid to the cornea of the eye on the basis of the output of a measuring start signal, a cornea deformation detection means for detecting the predetermined deformation of the cornea due to the ejection of the fluid, an estimation means for estimating a deformation detection time until the predetermined deformation of the cornea is detected after the output of the measuring start signal when measurement is performed, a pulsation detection means having a detector for detecting the pulsation of a subject and obtaining a cycle of pulsation on the basis of the output of the detector and a control means for controlling the output timing of the measuring start signal at measurement on the basis of the cycle of pulsation obtained by the pulsation detection measurement and the deformation detection time estimated by the estimation means. |
