PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shredder capable of continuously performing shredding operation of a film without causing winding of the film around any of nip rolls, due to recessed and projecting parts of the nip roll, even when the film has a thin gage or low stiffness. SOLUTION: This film shredder comprises a guide roll (2), a take-up device (3) consisting of a first nip roll (6) and a second nip roll (7), a chute (4) and a shredding machine (5), wherein: recessed and projecting parts 8 are formed in the outer peripheral surface of each of the first and second nip rolls (6) and (7) in the axial direction so as to be engaged with those formed in the outer peripheral surface of the other; and thereby a film is supplied to the shredding machine (5) while stretching the film in the axial direction.
