PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive to prevent a corner part of a product from being entrained by forming a tooth profile by a die while restricting the fluidization of a corner part of a cup-shaped shape material formed by press working using a plate material. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a bottomed cylindrical product having a tooth profile on the outer periphery is characterized by comprising a drawing process for applying drawing work to the plate material to manufacture the cup-shaped shape material 10, and a tooth profile forming process wherein the cup-shaped shape material 10 is clamped in the reverse direction between a mandrel 3 and an upper punch 1 provided with a projection 1a for preventing entrainment, the fluidization of the cap corner part is restricted by the projection 1a for preventing the entrainment, and the die is made to strike upward by fixing the mandrel 3 and the upper punch 1, or the mandrel 3 and the upper punch 1 are made to stroke downward to prevent the entrainment in the corner part.
