PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a seedling planting precision at a corner of a field. SOLUTION: In turning a traveling body at the side a levee, when an upper link 3a and lower links 3b and 3b are raised to an intermediate position B, the lower sides of the lower links 3b and 3b are brought into contact with the edge of a central soil preparation plate 28a rising from below. When the upper link 3a and the lower links 3b and 3b are further raised from the intermediate position B and moved to a highest rise position C and a seedling planting part 4 is raised, the edge of the central soil preparation plate 28a is pressed downward by the lower links 3b and 3b, a supporting arm 32 is retracted downward and rotated while compressing a spring attached to a supporting arm 32 and only the seedling planting part 4 is raised and moved to the highest rise position C. Consequently, the seedling planting part 4 equipped with the central soil preparation plate 28a and right and left soil preparation plates can be raised, lengths of the upper link 3a and the lower links 3b and 3b are shortened and the whole length of the machine body of a sulky rice transplanter is reduced to improve the longitudinal balance of the machine body.
