PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show a high oxidization activity even in the darkness and to have both high antibacterial property and deodorization property. SOLUTION: This antibacterial member is constituted by carrying a noble metal in the oxide, in which oxygen deficiency is introduced by reduction treatment. In the portion of the oxygen deficiency, extremely active oxygen is generated and with this active oxygen, high antibacterial property, pollution prevention property and deodorization property can be provided.
