PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater in which high-temperature water is normally and stably supplied. SOLUTION: A permeation isolating member 20 for isolation to prevent the passage of air bubbles though permitting a liquid to pass through is arranged between a liquid discharge port 17 and a bottom part having a heating means 14 which is disposed on the rear surface of the bottom part of a vessel 13. The flow of the boiling air bubbles into a motor-driven pump 16 is stopped-off in the case of a liquid supply operation so that the liquid is normally and stably supplied even during boiling or immediately after the completion of boiling.
