PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion supporting tool of an endoscope that can easily be taken out at a time when the control section cannot easily enter the coelom by forming the continuously provided end of a control section continuously provided in a tube body larger than the base. SOLUTION: A sliding tube 10 as an insertion supporting tool comprises a cylindrical tube body 12 and a control section 14 continuously connected to the tube body 12. A collar member 16 whose diameter is larger than the outside diameter of a base end 14A is mounted to a mounting section 26 provided in the continuously connection side end 14B of the control section 14. A cord 24 is attached to a through hole 14D formed in the base end 14A of the control section 14.
