PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable using of an AC lighting lamp by eliminating a flicker even when a light emitting amount becomes uneven. SOLUTION: An endoscope device comprises the AC lighting lamp 27. The endoscope device detects the periodical change of the light emitting amount of the lamp 27, stores concerned data in an EEPROM 32, outputs a gain value control signal to eliminate the unevenness of an exposure amount due to the change of the light emitting amount based on the data, amplifies a video signal by a CDS/AGC circuit 17 in an analog region according to the gain value, and regulates its level. The device can also regulate the level in a digital region. In this case, the regulation is executed by multiplying signals of R, G and B of an RGB signal forming circuits or signals of Y and C of a Y/C signal forming circuit disposed in a DSP circuit 21 by a gain coefficient.
