PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid drop discharge head having an excessive quantity of an adhesive reduced and exerting a high jointing reliability when a nozzle plate is jointed to a channel substrate in which fine channels are formed with an increased degree of integration so as to meet a high image quality and high-speed recording, a manufacturing method thereof, and an ink jet recorder capable of obtaining a stable image quality. SOLUTION: The channel substrate having a wettability improvement layer 49 formed to the jointing face is jointed via an adhesive layer 105 to the nozzle plate 43. The nozzle plate 43 has a partial thickness deviation on the side of the jointing face, and the adhesive layer 105 changes along the partial thickness.
