PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method that can manufacture, at small manufacturing cost and in shortened manufacturing time, a hole saw used in drilling for the connection of a branch pipe and the like to a plastic pipe in piping work of a plastic pipe such as a water supply/sewerage pipe, a gap pipe, a hot-water supply pipe and a sprinkler. SOLUTION: A round bar of S45C is cut into a constant length, which is placed in a forging die wherein it is subjected to cold forging to form a roughly shaped hole saw forging with a hexagon socket and a blind hole in the center of one end. The forging is next cut along the inner and outer circumferences and threaded to form a hole saw.
