PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact vessel enabling a easy change of an appearance different from its selling state and making an user enjoy changing an original design responding to a preference or a circumstance. SOLUTION: This flat compact vessel 10 comprises a body vessel 11 storing powdered cosmetic material in a storing recessed part 23, and a lid body 12 hinged with one side of the body vessel 11. The lid body 12 comprises an inner lid 14 having a hinge joint 13 to the body vessel 11 on its one side, and a transparent or translucent canopy 17 that holds an insert space 16 for filling information sheet 15 between it and the inner lid 14 and is piled and jointed onto the inner lid 14. The lid body 12 has an opening/closing means comprising engaging projections 21 and 21' and engaging grooves 22 and 22' for opening/closing the insert space 16, and allows exchange of the filled information sheet 15.
