PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the water quality of treated water and to enhance the work efficiency of operation control, by eliminating the defect of an A20 biological reaction vessel composed of three tanks, that is, an anaerobic tank, an oxygen-free tank and an aerobic tank, in which a nitrifying treatment capacity is lowered when the concentration of ammonia nitrogen increases. SOLUTION: In the A20 biological reaction tank apparatus, an air introducing pipe, which is equipped with an flowmeter and an air adjusting valve for using the oxygen-free tank as both of the anaerobic and aerobic tanks by aeration, is provided to the oxygen-free tank. The flowmeter is a pitot-tube differential pressure meter and the air adjusting valve is a glove valve.
