METHOD FOR REGENERATING MIXED BED TYPE ION EXCHANGE COLUMN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating ion exchange resins in a mixed bed type ion exchange column (MBP column) by which an alkali regenerating agent is prevented from leaking in treating water in the MBP column after regeneration treatment. SOLUTION: The method for regenerating ion exchange resins has a step for separately feeding an alkali regenerating agent and an acid regenerating agent to an anion exchange resin layer 8 and a cation exchange resin layer 10 both separated in a backward washing step, a step for extruding the regenerating agents from both the resin layers with water after the feeding step, a step for washing both the resin layers with water after the extruding step and a step for backward washing both the resin layers by introducing water from the bottom of the column after the washing step.
