EXHAUST GAS CLEANING MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas cleaning material having high catalytic activity, capable of sufficiently burning and removing particulates at the temperature of exhaust gas, excellent in exhaust gas cleaning capacity, preventing the sintering of a catalytic component and the lowering of catalytic activity caused thereby and extremely excellent in durability, and a method for easily manufacturing the exhaust gas cleaning material enhanced in catalytic activity. SOLUTION: The exhaust gas cleaning material is equipped with (a) a three- dimensional structure and (b) an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst containing at least one kind of a compound selected from copper compounds, at least one kind of a compound selected from vanadium compounds and an alkali metal sulfate in a support amount of 16-25 wt.%.
