PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium having a high content of an ink absorbable fine powder without bringing about a problem of powder drop even when an ink acceptive layer having an easy powder drop is incorporated and having good ink absorbability, and a method for recording by using the medium. SOLUTION: The recording medium comprises a guide sheet 3 having a guide 2 including a coating film formed in a full width of the sheet 3 in a length longer than the length from the central part of a supplied sheet roll to the end of a recording head at a feeding roll side of a material having no powder drop and transfer at a forward distal end on the sheet 3 longer than the length of a recording sheet 1 having an ink acceptive layer having a high content of an ink absorbable fine powder and an easy powder drop, and the sheet 1 releasably adhered to the sheet 3 with an adhesive.
