PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping chuck capable of easily operating a handle and eliminating the possibility of the deviation of a disc from a clamping position under high load onto a pull rod. SOLUTION: This clamping chuck 1 comprises a housing 5, a pull rod 20 with a ring groove, the disc 30, a brake disc 70 fixed on the disc 30, and balls 46, 47 and 48 respectively inserted among the pull rod 20, the disc 30 and the brake disc 70. When the axial load acts on the pull rod 20 during the working of a work piece, a inclined side face of the ring groove of the pull rod 20 presses the brake disc 70 through the balls 46, 47 and 48. As a result, the bake disc 70 is frictionally engaged with the housing 5, and the possibility of the deviation of the disc 30 from the clamping position can be eliminated. |
