JOINED STRUCTURAL BODY AND METHOD FOR JOINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joined structural body having an intact joint strength, which is built by a butt joining of aluminum alloy pipes with an upset welding, for which a process for deburring is eliminated or simplified by preventing the generation of lip-shaped joined burrs either on the outer peripheral face of inner peripheral face of a pipe, and further to provide a method by which the joining is simply performed. SOLUTION: The structural body to be joined is so composed that joined burr, which is formed at the joined part either on the outer peripheral surface of the pipe or the inner peripheral surface of the pipe, has a hanging bell-shaped cross section. The method by which the joined structural body is joined is so composed that a groove given to the pipe to be joined is machined either on the outer peripheral face side or the inner peripheral face side of the pipe in an edge preparation process which is a preliminary process of an upset welding.
