PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil spring mounting structure capable of reducing cost by improving property for work of mounting a coil spring on an outer circumference of a hydraulic shock absorber and especially suitable for a strut type hydraulic shock absorber. SOLUTION: In a suspension structure utilizing a hydraulic shock absorber provided with a lower spring seat 13 on an outer tube 2a forming an outer shell of a hydraulic shock absorber 2 and an upper spring seat 14 on a piston rod 2b, having spiral shaped seat surfaces 13C, 14C and guiding edges rising along the seat surface 13A, 13B and 14A, 14B on each spring seat, and having a coil spring 1 offsetting to the hydraulic shock absorber 2 mounted with arranging a lower end part of the coil spring 1 on the lower spring seat 13 while keeping a compressed condition of the coil spring 1 and correcting an inclined condition to make an upper end part of the coil spring 1 face to the upper spring seat 14, heights of the guiding edges of the upper and lower spring seats 13, 14 are increased according to lifting heights to cope with optional width parts of the lower and upper end parts lifting during correction of the inclined condition of the coil spring 1 in order to prevent the part lifting during mounting the coil spring 1 from being forced out from spring seats. |
