PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire realizing the improvement of steering stability performance and comfortableness performance without causing a deterioration of indoor noise and rolling resistance and an increase of tire weight. SOLUTION: A carcass is provided with a carcass body comprising a ply of radially arranged cords extending into a coroidal shape between a pair of bead cores and an folding section folding the ply from the inside to the outside of the tire at the bead cores and extending it to the outside in the radial direction. The carcass is used as a skeleton, and a belt and a tread are arranged in sequence on the outside in the radial direction of the crown section of the carcass to form this pneumatic radial tire. Reinforcing layers of cords are provided between at least the end section of the folding section and the carcass body adjacently to the carcass body and the folding section respectively.
