PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing frame driving device for a sewing machine making a sewing machine device compact, improving workability, allowing a high- speed drive due to the lightness resulting from compactness, and capable of increasing sewing efficiency. SOLUTION: This sewing frame driving device is provided with a sewing frame 5, in which a front roller 9 and a rear roller 10 extending in the lateral direction at the directly front and rear of a bed 3 and at least one lower roller 11 extending in the lateral direction below the bed are rotatably journalled to a pair of right and left carriers 12, a fabric stop mechanism 20 for stretching a work fabric 50 on the rollers 9, 10, 11 so that the fabric width direction is arranged along the length direction of the rollers and the fabric length direction is formed into a loop shape around the rollers, an X-direction drive mechanism 31 driving the work fabric in the fabric width direction by moving the sewing frame 5 in the lateral direction, and a Y-direction drive mechanism 41 driving the work fabric in the fabric length direction by rotating at least one of the rollers.
