PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surgical connection and an anchor assembly for anchoring a rod member or a connecting member such as a cable used for fixing or reducing a fractured or damaged part of bone. SOLUTION: The anchor assembly comprises a bolt with a slot to be fitted into a perforated plate and a support platform to be engaged with the circumference of the bolt. A one-piece assembly is formed for capturing the plate so that it can be set easily.
