PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel superior in display quality and an image forming device having the same by a method wherein any screen is displayed by a tuned contrast even when a plurality of different screens are switchably displayed on the liquid crystal display face. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display panel has the liquid crystal display face on which the plurality of screens are switchably displayed and a contrast level tuning means for tuning the contrast of the display screen corresponding to the screen to be displayed. This image forming apparatus has the liquid crystal display panel having the liquid crystal display face on which the plurality of screens are switchably displayed. The liquid crystal display panel has the contrast level tuning means for tuning the contrast of the display screen corresponding to the screen displayed in accordance with the use condition of the image forming apparatus.
