PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbing material for sulfide gas and a device for removing sulfide gas capable of removing carbon dioxide gas together with a sulfide gas efficiently. SOLUTION: Carbon dioxide gas and sulfur dioxide gas in the mixed gas are removed by using lithium orthosilicate which has an approximately equivalent temperature at which both of the carbon dioxide gas absorption efficiency and the sulfur dioxide gas absorption efficiency are high.
