PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently machine an aspheric curved surface without totally reducing the machining accuracy. SOLUTION: This aspheric curved surface machining method executes aspheric curved surface machining by repeating a composite feed of a cutting feed Z and a traverse feed X every one pitch feed perpendicular to the composite feed. A plane including an outline on the curved surface machined by the traverse feed X of one stroke is set to be perpendicular to an axis parallel to the wheel axis of a grinding wheel 72, and a work piece W is rotationally positioned around the axis and is installed at a prescribed slang angleβ. Thereby, a change in a direction of the cutting feed Z during the traverse feed X of one stroke is prevented.
