PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible without large modification to divert a transfer means by a vacuum and air pressure injection mechanism which is so far generally used for a two-piece can in a process for applying a printing design, in manufacturing a bottle type can formed with an opening neck and a shoulder on the can bottom side of a bottomed can and applied with a printing design on the outer face of the can. SOLUTION: In the can formed into a bottle shape, whose opening neck is unopened and whose end of the barrel part is opened, through a process for applying a lubricant on both sides of a metal plate, thereafter forming the metal plate into a cup shape by blanking the metal plate, a process for further forming from the cup shaped formed body into a bottomed cylindrical can whose barrel part is formed with the small diameter and thinned, and a process for forming the bottom side of the bottomed cylindrical can into the shoulder part and the unopened opening neck, a process for applying printing design to the outer face of the can barrel, and applying the painting to the can inner and outer faces are carried out after a defatting and synthetic treatment process by removing the lubricant from the can inner and out faces, and a process for applying the printing design at least on the can barrel outer face of both processes is carried out before a process for forming a curled part and a threaded part by opening the unopened opening neck.
