PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift capable of ascending/descending smoothly a platform even when sprockets and a push-pull chain are used. SOLUTION: This lift ascends/descends the platform with being supported horizontally for ascending/descending a wheel chair to/from a vehicle. Its drive mechanism is formed with an electric motor, a pair of sprockets 30 linking with an output shaft of the electric motor, and the push-pull chain engaged with each sprocket for linking one end with the platform. Engaging phases of the pair of sprockets 30 are shifted for each other.
