PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a variable display device capable of displaying three- dimensionally patterns while reducing the thickness. SOLUTION: In a variable display device 40, a nearly elliptic columnar slide 84 supported by a support shaft 90 is arranged within a loop of a belt 70A wrapped around a pair of pulleys 72A and 72B and can be slid back and forth by a solenoid 98A. A plurality of small rollers 92A and 98B are mounted to the front 84A and the rear 84B of the slide 84 and the outside peripheries of the rollers are in contact with the inside periphery of the belt. When the slide 84 is slid forward by the driving of the solenoid 98A, a specific pattern display portion 70AF is bent, pressed by the small rollers 92A and patterns drawn on the outside periphery of the belt are three-dimensionally displayed. |
