PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press working method for metal and synthetic resin material capable of execute high yield press punching work without generating positional displacement at the superimposed part of a composite member of the metal and synthetic resin, with excellent accuracy, without developing cracks in the synthetic resin member, by reducing the number of working stages, an installation space, and facilities costs. SOLUTION: This is related to a press working method for a heat insulating sash to execute punching work to the superimposed part 20 of the heat insulating sash 10 having a superimposed part 20 of an aluminum member 14 and the synthetic resin member 18. In this case, the method comprises a process of combining the superimposed part 20 in a uncombined state in the state of forming a space 42 between opposing faces of the aluminum member 14 and the synthetic resin member 18, at least in the peripheral area including a punching position of the superimposed part, and a process of performing punching work to this superimposed part 20 in the combined state from the synthetic resin member 18.
