PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process capable of easily and rapidly inserting bulky accessories into a hollow body to position them in the hollow body and having no danger generating undesirable unevenness in the obtained hollow body. SOLUTION: In the process for manufacturing the hollow plastic body, especially a motor-vehicle fuel tank from an extruded parison of a closed cross section, at least one cut is made in the parison formed by molding.
