PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing lumber which is free from occurrence of a crack in a drying stage and excellent also in dimensional stability. SOLUTION: A log having a core material is divided vertically into two parts. Those logs divided into two parts 1a and 1b are dried, and joined again after drying.
