PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase production efficiency of a tailored blank material. SOLUTION: In a mash seam welding machine, by which joint parts slightly overlapping metal plates each other are held by electrode wheels, seam welding is processed while squeezing the plates close to the plate thickness nearly equal to one of a base material plate thickness, plural drive type receiving rolls 4 to support two sheets of metal plates S1, S2 in the gravitational direction and a clamp roll 5 to press the metal plates corresponding to the drive type receiving roll in the plate thickness direction are arranged near the electrode wheels of a welding machine, the machine is provided with a positioning mechanism 3 for a welding end part to position respective joint parts of metal plates to be joined and a guide apparatus 6 for a plate end part to guide a joint part of the metal plate and a plate end part of an opposite side.
