PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin state measuring instrument for allowing a subject to accurately grasp own skin state on the basis of the measuring result of the skin state and capable of giving a proper beauty advice by a beauty adviser. SOLUTION: The skin state measuring instrument 1 is equipped with measuring probes 2 and 3 for measuring the moisture content, sebum quantity, elasticity, hue, blood circulation state or melanization state of the skin, an input means (keyboard 4) for inputting the results of doctor's questions, observation or the palpation of the skin, an operation means 5 for calculating the evaluation index of the skin state on the basis of the measuring signals from the measuring probes 2 and 3, and the input results of doctor's questions, observation or palpation, a digital microcamera 6 for picking up the enlarged image of the skin and the display 7 for displaying the evaluation index of the skin and the enlarged image. The factors exerting effect on the dampness of the skin (i), the tension of the skin (ii), the brightness of the skin (iii) and a sebum state (iv) are calculated as the evaluation index of the skin state to be displayed on a graph.
